Passionate about culinary arts from a young age, Grand-Mamy has embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of gastronomy. Originally from Algeria, she pursued several diploma courses in traditional cooking and pastries before settling in Quebec in 2013. This migration enriched her culinary knowledge, allowing her to blend the culinary traditions inherited from the Mediterranean with the ancient recipes of Quebec's terroir. A staunch advocate for the marriage of tradition and modernity, Grand-Mamy embodies this fusion through her culinary art. She recently became a representative of a leading brand of Chef-cooking robots comprising thousands of recipes, demonstrating her ability to integrate contemporary techniques into her preparations while preserving the authenticity of traditional flavors. Working with love and passion, Grand-Mamy has become a prominent figure in the Outaouais region. Under the evocative name of "Grand-Mamy Gâteaux," bestowed upon her by her grandchildren, she personally crafts homemade cakes that are highly esteemed by her loyal clientele. But her production is not limited to cakes; she also concocts a variety of succulent meals such as comforting soups, gratins, spinach and cheese breads or olive breads, fresh fish dishes, and many other delights. She has proven herself at markets in Hull, Plateau, Aylmer, Ferme Moore, Chelsea, Buckingham, Perkins, Maloney, and many others. Her creations, whether cakes or cooked dishes, are artisanally prepared with carefully selected ingredients such as spinach, almonds, bee honey, pecans, dates, apples, raisins, oats, flour, eggs, milk, and its derivatives.
